Role Overview
The Sanctuary is embarking on an exciting growth phase and requires a robust commercial framework to support this development. We seek a commercially adept Head of Sales & Marketing to spearhead sales strategies, cultivate new business, and elevate the Sanctuary as a premier destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the overall sales strategy driving commercial success across retreats, corporate clients, cottages, and guest experiences.
- Create and maintain a clear and efficient sales pipeline to optimize lead generation, follow-up, and conversion processes.
- Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities through outreach, partnerships, networking, and direct selling.
- Lead significant sales discussions and assist the team in closing deals effectively.
- Strategically plan the event calendar to maximize commercial benefits, ensuring not only full bookings but the right types of bookings.
- Oversee marketing priorities by defining necessary content, targeted audience segments, and appropriate channels.
- Collaborate with both internal and external marketing teams to implement and achieve strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the department.
Required Qualifications and Traits
- Proven experience as a sales leader, preferably within hospitality, retreats, wellbeing, events, corporate venues, or destination-based businesses.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and confident approach to lead generation.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on sales activities.
- Comfortable working with funnels, sales pipelines, conversion optimization, and revenue targets.
- Familiarity and enthusiasm for wellbeing, transformation, nature conservation, and regeneration sectors.
