Head of Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead and expand the operational foundation of a globally distributed, fully remote financial services company based in Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership opportunity involves managing key operational functions to ensure efficiency, resilience, regulatory compliance, and outstanding service delivery within a technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement a robust operations strategy that supports scalability, operational efficiency, service quality, and strict adherence to compliance regulations.
• Direct principal operational teams across payments, treasury, reconciliations, card services, back-office, and general business operations.
• Take charge of operational outcomes by setting clear metrics and controls, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead transformation efforts incorporating process optimization, automation, and the use of data analytics and AI solutions.
• Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures to enhance consistency and transparency in operations.
• Cultivate a high-performing team by mentoring employees, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
• Collaborate closely with compliance, risk management, and financial crime units to meet all regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Develop and monitor operational risk management frameworks, including reporting, control mechanisms, and preparation for audits.
• Work alongside cross-functional leaders in technology, data, HR, and client-facing teams to ensure business-wide alignment.
• Manage end-to-end digital asset settlement processes including reconciliation, wallet management, custody controls, and crypto-fiat operations.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible operations leadership experience in regulated banking, fintech, financial services, or wealth management sectors.
• Proven track record in handling and scaling payments, treasury, settlements, and other business operational functions.
• Expertise in process enhancements, operational transformation, workflow scalability, and automation technologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, AML standards, compliance protocols, and financial crime prevention.
• Proven ability to build and lead multidisciplinary and high-performance operational teams.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
• A strategic thinker capable of converting business goals into effective operational plans.
• Experience with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital asset operations is highly advantageous.
• Capability to successfully operate in a fully remote, global setting, exhibiting autonomy and collaborative spirit.
