Head of Managed Accounts and Model Portfolio Delivery - Senior Vice President

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead the Managed Accounts and Model Portfolio Delivery division. This senior leadership position focuses on packaging, developing, and commercializing model portfolio and separately managed account (SMA) capabilities. The role is pivotal in defining and expanding the operational framework to support alternative investments integration within wealth management channels via managed account and model portfolio solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Managed Accounts and Model Portfolio Delivery strategy aligned with iCapital’s overall product and platform vision.
• Position iCapital as a leader in advanced portfolio construction frameworks involving public-private allocation models.
• Drive advancements in model portfolios, UMA programs, SMAs, and related managed account offerings with a focus on alternative and private market investments.
• Lead go-to-market and distribution strategies for model portfolio and SMA solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Relationship Management, and Platform teams to promote adoption and revenue growth.
• Form strategic alliances with wealth platforms, asset managers, and technology providers.
• Manage the lifecycle and design of managed account product solutions.
• Work with Research, Technology, and Platform teams to enable deployment of model portfolios and managed accounts across various platforms including third-party hosting.
• Innovate portfolio implementation processes including rebalancing, reporting, and analytics.
• Partner with operations to establish the operational infrastructure supporting managed account services.
• Ensure alignment with client needs across RIAs, broker-dealers, wirehouses, and private banks.
• Oversee compliance and regulatory adherence in coordination with legal and compliance teams for product governance and integrations.
• Represent iCapital externally to wealth managers, asset managers, and industry partners as a thought leader.
• Continuously gather market insights to refine solutions and positioning.

Qualifications and Experience

• More than 15 years in asset management, wealth management, or financial technology focusing on model portfolios, SMAs, or portfolio construction.
• Demonstrated success in building and expanding investment advisory, managed account, or model portfolio programs.
• Extensive expertise in Investment Company Act of 1940, registered product structures, and related compliance.
• Deep experience with SMA program structures, UMA platform technologies, and advisory platform execution.
• Proven management of alternative investment products or private market strategies.
• Strong record in go-to-market leadership and revenue generation.
• Advanced understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, portfolio implementation and trading workflows, model oversight, and performance analytics.
• Capability to engage effectively at senior levels across product, strategy, sales, and technology domains.
• Outstanding communication skills and executive presence with ability to influence stakeholders and clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between $210,000 and $260,000 annually. Compensation includes base salary, equity grants, and an annual bonus. Work Arrangement

This position requires office attendance Monday through Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
