About Avōq and Role Overview
Avōq is searching for a visionary and entrepreneurial leader to take on the role of Head of Growth. This position reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with senior leadership to craft and implement the enterprise-wide growth strategy. The person in this role will unify marketing, business development, client expansion, and market positioning to fuel revenue growth, enhance the brand's stature, and strengthen key client relationships.
This role balances strategic foresight with operational prowess, requiring comfort in shaping organizational strategy, advising leadership, leading significant growth initiatives, and establishing scalable marketing and business development programs. Developing thought leadership and a comprehensive marketing plan around the firm's core expertise and elevating Avōq's market presence are key duties.

Key Responsibilities
- Foster a firm-wide growth culture by equipping leaders with tools, processes, insights, and marketing resources to deepen client engagement and secure new business.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Leadership to contribute to and execute the firm’s integrated growth strategy.
- Identify priority sectors, emerging markets, and client prospects to target.
- Develop detailed annual and multi-year growth plans aligned with Avōq's objectives.
- Establish measurable growth goals and accountability across communications and government relations practices.
- Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Align cross-practice growth priorities for unified efforts.
- Conduct regular market research to pinpoint growth opportunities.
- Build relationships with strategic partners and alliances to extend market reach.
- Oversee the firm’s new business and marketing strategy, prioritizing opportunities effectively.
- Manage RFP responses, pitch development, proposal creation, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with Practice Leads and leadership to identify cross-selling and organic client expansion prospects.
- Enhance standardized operational processes to boost efficiency, win rates, and accurate forecasting.
- Implement advanced technologies and AI tools to improve marketing, business development, and client acquisition efforts.
- Define growth objectives, success indicators, and accountability frameworks in partnership with leadership.
- Monitor pipeline activities to detect trends and identify improvement opportunities.
- Design and execute a marketing plan featuring speaking engagements and thought leadership for the firm and its key personnel.
- Coordinate with senior leaders to develop capability presentations and promotional content.
- Shape Avōq’s positioning in the market via messaging, thought leadership, partnerships, awards, and events.
- Ensure consistent communication of the firm’s value proposition and expertise across all client touchpoints.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 15 years leading strategic growth, business development, and brand marketing within communications, consulting, or professional services firms.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue increases.
- Experienced in handling complex business pursuits and managing client relationships.
- Strong expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, and corporate communications.
- Familiarity with communication platforms and advancing organizational thought leadership through industry recognition and events.
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build trust and consensus with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, matrixed environments managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience scaling growth in consulting, communications, public affairs, or professional services settings.
- Strong financial skills including forecasting, pipeline oversight, and growth planning.
