Insights Fellow

Position Overview

Avōq is looking for a driven and career-focused Insights Fellow to conduct analysis and apply market research, data, and analytics across several professional fields including public affairs, government, business, advocacy, and communications. Utilizing advanced data tools and technology, the Insights team spearheads innovative and actionable research that supports data-driven, leading-edge strategies for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on trending news, social media conversations, influencers, public policy, and public opinions to support varied strategic communications and marketing goals.
• Utilize Avōq's advanced suite of data tools to monitor issues across multiple sectors and geographic locations.
• Collaborate with team members to transform data findings into compelling reports, presentations, and actionable insights.
• Work closely with public affairs teams, clients, and stakeholders on diverse projects ranging from short to long-term initiatives.
• Assist client teams and business development by integrating unique data insights.
• Support diverse clients in public, nonprofit, and corporate sectors, including national campaigns, legislative efforts, and corporate initiatives.
• Contribute to Avōq's thought leadership through white papers, webinars, and media placements.
• Research organizations, people, and issues relevant to client objectives involving policy, business, media, and political landscapes.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess relevant education, experience, or strong interest in data analytics, research, communications, advertising, or media.
• Show passion and curiosity for policy, media, and business topics.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Comfortable and proficient using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects efficiently, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot effectively.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients and colleagues.

Program Details

The fellowship generally spans six months with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability. Exceptional fellows may be eligible for promotion.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is $39000. Benefits include 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; 401(k) contributions; flexible hybrid work setting requiring four days onsite; twelve paid company holidays; up to 39 days of personal paid time off; and office closure during the last week of the year for winter break.
