Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Finance Director ANZ, the Head of FP&A ANZ plays a vital leadership role, overseeing financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support across the ANZ region. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Finance Director and senior leadership, this role ensures alignment between financial strategies and business priorities to support sustainable growth.
This position holds extensive influence across the organization, overseeing the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. The holder collaborates closely with Commercial teams, Shared Services, Centres of Excellence, and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that drive superior business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the ANZ financial planning cycle including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic plans to deliver robust commercial outcomes.
- Provide transparent and accurate reporting on business performance metrics including revenue, profits, and working capital.
- Oversee the Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring business alignment between commercial strategies and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and regional stakeholders to offer strategic financial advice and support decision-making.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities, and performance deficits, delivering recommendations to optimize business results.
- Lead scenario analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling to enable proactive business decisions.
- Critically assess commercial assumptions such as pricing strategies, investment initiatives, portfolio composition, promotions, and growth plans.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives suitable for executive-level communication.
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships with Commercial, Supply, Shared Services, and Centre of Excellence teams to improve planning and reporting processes.
- Drive enhancements in forecasting accuracy, performance management, and FP&A capabilities within the ANZ region.
Applicant Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Brings over 10 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
- Demonstrates proven success in complex FMCG, Consumer Health, Consumer Goods, Retail, or comparable high-volume commercial settings, with preference for FMCG experience.
- Has a track record of partnership with senior executives and leadership teams to influence positive business results.
- Experienced in financial modeling, forecasting, business case development, and performance oversight.
- Skilled at working within matrixed organizations and collaborating across shared services and centres of excellence.
- Knowledgeable in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and cross-functional planning environments is a strong advantage.
- Exhibits outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of making complex financial concepts accessible to non-finance audiences.
