Head of FP&A

About the Role

We seek a Head of FP&A to join a private equity-backed organisation based in central London. This key leadership position requires working on-site four days per week within a dynamic, rapidly expanding multi-site business. The role involves significant collaboration with senior stakeholders and offers the opportunity to shape strategic financial decisions across multiple entities.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring consolidation across multiple business locations.
• Create and update comprehensive financial models to aid growth and strategic plans.
• Produce monthly management reports featuring insightful commentary and clear analysis.
• Conduct variance analyses to evaluate performance versus budget and forecast figures.
• Provide commercial insights including competitive and market analysis.
• Assess investment proposals, projects, and capital deployment strategies.
• Develop strong working relationships with regional Managing Directors and operational leaders.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small, high-performing financial planning and analysis team.
• Assist senior finance executives with strategic projects as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, CIMA, or equivalent credentials.
• Extensive FP&A experience managing multi-site operations.
• Background in private equity-backed or rapidly growing companies preferred.
• Advanced skills in financial modeling and Excel.
• Commercial mindset capable of influencing stakeholders outside finance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Strong leadership aptitude with experience developing teams.
• Excellent organizational skills, with capability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
