About the Role

Join a well-established UK financial services firm with a leading reputation in wealth management as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). Based in Manchester with hybrid work options, this position offers a competitive salary between £140,000 and £150,000 per annum.

This is a chance to spearhead financial planning, insight, and performance initiatives within a respected organisation that values long-term client relationships and is actively modernising its operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire financial planning cycle including budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and performance reporting.
  • Establish and lead a top-tier FP&A team skilled in financial modelling, insight generation, and business partnership.
  • Deliver strategic financial analyses to aid decision-making across diverse business units.
  • Develop and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, investment decisions, and transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with senior management across departments such as operations, technology, investment management, and client services.
  • Implement continuous improvements in processes, systems, and reporting frameworks.
  • Communicate clear and commercially relevant insights to the Executive Team and Board members.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives including system upgrades and process optimisations.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant with credentials like ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Substantial leadership experience in FP&A, particularly within regulated or complex financial environments.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling and analytical techniques.
  • Proven track record of driving finance transformation and modernisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of simplifying complex financial data.
  • Collaborative leadership style that aligns with a values-driven corporate culture.
  • Experience working in financial institutions or investment firms is essential.
