About the Role

We are recruiting for a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join a well-established UK financial services firm renowned in the wealth management sector. This leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to influence the strategic financial direction of the company, which is undergoing significant modernization while maintaining a values-based culture and focus on long-term client relationships.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and Executive Team, leading the entire financial planning process, enhancing financial insight, and fostering a performance-driven culture emphasizing clarity, challenge, and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and performance reporting.
  • Develop and lead a top-tier FP&A team skilled in financial modeling, business partnering, and insightful analysis.
  • Deliver strategic financial analysis to support decision-making across multiple business units.
  • Design and enhance financial models for scenario planning, investment evaluation, and transformation projects.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management across operations, technology, investment management, and client services.
  • Champion continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting standards.
  • Communicate clear and succinct commercial insights to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team focused on excellence and growth.
  • Contribute to broader finance transformation efforts, including system upgrades and optimization initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Senior finance professional with a blend of strong technical skills and commercial judgement.
  • Ability to challenge established assumptions, shape strategy, and influence senior stakeholders while actively participating in detailed financial work.
  • Current experience in financial institutions or investment firms is preferred.
  • Recognized accounting certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Extensive FP&A leadership experience, particularly within regulated or complex business environments.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling and analytical problem-solving.
  • A track record of leading finance modernization and transformation initiatives.
  • Superior communication skills to simplify complex financial information effectively.
  • A leadership approach that prioritizes collaboration and aligns with a values-driven culture.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from £140,000 to £150,000 annually.
