Virio is developing a cutting-edge B2B go-to-market technology stack, supported by investors and leaders from top tech companies. Our mission is to help rapidly expanding B2B firms succeed using executive-led content that drives revenue. We are searching for a Head of Finance to establish and lead our finance department, ensuring strategic management in a unique revenue-share and performance-based pricing model.
Role Overview
In this pivotal position, you will manage the entire finance operation including reporting, controls, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cash flow, and compliance. You will create revenue recognition and accounts receivable procedures tailored to contracts based on client outcomes. A critical part of your role is forecasting cashflows connected to client success and assessing their related risk and variability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end finance operations encompassing reporting, compliance, FP&A, cash, and controls.
- Develop processes for revenue recognition and accounts receivable aligned with performance-based contracts.
- Model and forecast cash flow patterns linked to client performance metrics, including risk quantification.
- Formulate strategies for financing future receivables through methods like revenue-based financing and working capital facilities.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership on pricing strategies, deal structuring, and business decisions.
- Provide timely management reports and board-level materials supporting every significant decision.
- Manage liquidity, working capital, and timing differences between revenue earned and cash received.
- Recruit and develop the finance team as the company grows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven leadership in finance with a qualified accounting certification (CPA or equivalent) and extensive experience managing finance functions.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, internal controls, and management reporting.
- Knowledge or keen interest in performance-based pricing models such as revenue-share or usage-based pricing.
- Experience or familiarity with financing based on future cash flows or receivables financing is a strong advantage.
- Solid grasp of B2B go-to-market dynamics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset showing initiative and capability to establish structure where none exists.
- Excellent judgment combined with clear and effective communication skills.
