Job description

Overview

The Head of Finance will act as the chief leader for the finance department, directing financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. This position requires expertise in financial risk oversight, investment strategy formulation, and the establishment of sound corporate fiscal policies aimed at driving sustainable organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and nurture a diverse finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Devise and execute comprehensive long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization's vision and responsive to changing market conditions.
  • Manage the financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year projections, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Supervise the generation and evaluation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy, clear transparency, and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external financial partners such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to safeguard organizational reputation and facilitate strategic goals.
  • Oversee cash flow, capital allocation, and investment policies to maximize usage of financial resources in support of growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to determine investment priorities, assess expenditure plans, and monitor financial results against objectives.
  • Lead finance-related initiatives including process optimizations and integration of financial technologies to improve efficiency and data reliability.
  • Provide timely financial updates, insights on trends, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members.
  • Ensure robust financial control systems are implemented, minimizing risks and promoting ethical financial management across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years advancing through financial leadership positions in complex and large-scale environments.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis, reporting, and compliance within multinational corporations.
  • Experienced in spearheading finance transformation projects, including automation and advanced financial system implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial risk management and capital markets with the aptitude to effectively assess and reduce financial risks.
  • Track record of crafting and executing long-term financial strategies that support organizational goals and increase stakeholder value.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and budget management.
  • Strong capability in engaging and communicating complex finance-related information to a non-expert audience.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including conducting due diligence and overseeing post-merger integrations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal controls, corporate governance frameworks, and ethical financial conduct.
  • Preferred possession of professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalents.
