Position Overview

This full-time permanent role is available immediately at Long Bay College, a co-educational secondary school located near Long Bay Beach and the Long Bay Village in Auckland. Established in 1975, the school educates approximately 2000 students with a combined staff of 170 teaching and support personnel.

The position arises following an external promotion and offers an exciting leadership opportunity within a dynamic and supportive Health and Physical Education Faculty. The Head of Faculty will lead a team delivering curriculum in Scholarship, Physical Education, Health, Early Childhood, and Sport Leadership. The role emphasizes knowledge-rich teaching strategies and pedagogy informed by cognitive science, aiming to enhance both individual and collective professional development within the faculty.

Terms and Conditions

This role’s terms are governed by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for registered and trained teachers will range from $61329 to $103086, dependent on qualifications and experience. Final salary will be determined through an assessment process upon appointment.
