Role Overview
The Head of Early Career Recruiting will lead and expand Notion's strategy to attract and develop early career talent across all parts of the organization. Building on existing progress in engineering recruitment, this role will broaden the scope to encompass diverse early talent pipelines including internships and new graduate hiring, working closely with company leaders, academic institutions, and talent communities. The position demands a high standard for talent selection, comprehensive understanding of early career market dynamics, and an AI-forward approach to recruitment processes. The role is based in San Francisco with onsite work on specified days to foster collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a global strategy for early career recruitment encompassing internship and new graduate programs across multiple departments and geographies.
- Leading and mentoring a team of early career recruiters to maintain high performance standards.
- Providing strategic guidance to organizational leadership using market insights, compensation trends, and talent acquisition best practices specific to the early career segment.
- Implementing AI-driven tools and processes to enhance sourcing, evaluation, and closing of candidates.
- Designing and refining hiring programs and frameworks to improve speed and quality of recruitment, including internship structures and conversion strategies.
- Defining and monitoring key recruitment metrics like conversion rates, quality of hires, sourcing channels, and time-to-offer, using data to inform recruitment decisions.
- Collaborating on employer branding initiatives to position Notion prominently as an employer of choice for emerging professionals.
- Engaging with internal ambassador programs to cultivate a supportive community and leverage advocacy for talent sourcing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years in recruiting leadership with specialization in early career hiring, including university recruiting, internships, and early-stage career roles across various functions.
- Innovative mindset regarding attraction and assessment methods for emerging talent, incorporating evolving strategies such as work trials and build challenges.
- Experience building and growing successful early career recruitment teams within fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Proactive and strategic thinker with strong execution ability, comfortable with both high-level talent strategy and operational recruiting details.
- Analytical proficiency demonstrated by applying data to optimize recruitment funnels and program outcomes.
- Trusted partner to senior executives with expertise in early career market trends and compensation benchmarks.
- Strong enthusiasm for AI technologies with demonstrated success influencing team adoption and leveraging AI to improve recruiting operations.
- In-depth knowledge of early career compensation, talent markets, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations.

Compensation and Benefits
Notion provides competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. For candidates based in San Francisco or New York City, the expected base salary range is $225,000 to $275,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by multiple factors such as location, role complexity, and candidate experience.
