About Us
Notion is an AI-powered collaborative workspace that integrates knowledge management, project coordination, meetings, and AI tools into a seamless platform to enhance productivity. Millions, from individuals to large enterprises, rely on Notion to manage their work more effectively. Our team members, known as Notinos, are pioneers in redefining the future of work by blending human creativity with AI.
Role Overview
We seek an Early Career Recruiter passionate about transforming how emerging talent is sourced and cultivated. This role involves designing innovative recruitment programs for interns, recent graduates, and early professionals, integrating employer branding, candidate experience, and assessment strategies tailored for the AI era. You will partner with teams across Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People to execute a comprehensive early career hiring strategy.
The position is based in San Francisco with onsite work required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to foster collaboration.
Key Duties
- Create and lead durable, scalable recruitment programs targeting early career candidates including internships and new graduate pipelines.
- Innovate talent sourcing methods beyond conventional campus recruiting, exploring communities, hackathons, open-source contributors, AI-driven tools, and creative outreach.
- Develop and implement evaluation frameworks that focus on a candidate's learning ability, creativity, and thinking rather than solely on prior knowledge.
- Collaborate to build and promote a compelling employer brand that highlights Notion as a premier place to start a career.
- Coach hiring teams to evaluate early career candidates fairly and effectively with high standards.
Requirements
- At least two years of recruiting experience with specific involvement in early career or university-based hiring.
- A proactive, creative mindset geared towards building novel recruitment initiatives rather than managing existing ones.
- Continuous curiosity about discovering and assessing emerging talent using new sourcing channels, assessment formats, and candidate engagement methods.
- Keen understanding of employer branding and the candidate experience, ensuring positive and trust-building interactions at every stage.
- Ability to operate strategically and execute recruitment programs end-to-end.
- Excellent communication skills to establish strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional partners.
- Comfortable using data to inform decisions, recognize patterns, and advocate for effective strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in establishing early career programs from inception.
- Experimented with alternative sourcing or evaluation approaches and gained actionable insights.
- Deep knowledge of early career talent in engineering and technical fields.
- Familiarity and enthusiasm for Notion as a product.
Additional Information
We offer competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The salary for the San Francisco or New York City office-based roles typically ranges from $135,000 to $151,000 annually, influenced by location, job scope, and candidate qualifications.
Notion is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities or special needs throughout the hiring process. We encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
