Job description
Role summary
The Head of Delivery for JAPAC is the most senior regional leader for Tag’s creative production delivery capability. The role is responsible for how delivery performs today, how it develops over time, and how it is positioned for the future across the region.
You will oversee the regional delivery structure spanning in-market studios and regional production hubs, making sure the business consistently delivers creative production that is high in quality, commercially strong and able to scale. A key part of the role is to build a joined-up regional delivery network that improves efficiency, supports strong talent deployment, embeds new production approaches and reinforces Tag’s standing as a creative production leader.
This position works closely with Growth, Product, Operations, Resource Management, Studio Leadership, Finance, HR and Client Services to ensure delivery supports both day-to-day business outcomes and long-term growth. It calls for a combination of disciplined operations, strong commercial thinking, deep creative production knowledge, transformation leadership and the ability to influence executives.
Strategic focus areas
The role is structured around four major priorities: Operational Excellence, Delivery Excellence, Transformation and Industry Leadership.
Operational excellence
- Take ownership of the regional delivery operating framework and ensure consistency, control and disciplined execution across the business.
- Build and strengthen a high-performing delivery function across all JAPAC markets and production hubs.
- Work with the Operations Director to align best practices, governance standards, workflow methods and core delivery systems throughout the region.
- Make sure delivery results are tracked clearly through reliable reporting, accurate data and useful operational insight.
- Continuously improve delivery efficiency, cost-to-serve, productivity, margin performance and overall operational maturity.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure delivery models support agreed People Cost Ratio targets, profitability and margin objectives.
- Shape delivery operations so they can scale with the business, support growth and deliver consistent client outcomes.
- Provide senior leadership on operational risk, escalations, delivery governance and critical performance issues.
Delivery excellence
- Ensure Tag delivers exceptional creative production through strong studio leadership, effective resource planning and high-performing teams.
- Guide and develop Studio Directors across JAPAC so each studio meets expectations for performance, quality, culture and commercial results.
- Partner with the Resource Director to improve utilisation, strengthen capacity planning, cut reliance on freelancers and enable talent sharing across markets.
- Create a connected regional delivery structure where skills, capability and workload can move smoothly between locations.
- Make sure studios have the right leadership, capability and culture to produce excellent work quickly and at scale.
- Advocate for high craft standards, consistent delivery quality and strong client service across all production areas.
- Maintain close partnerships with Client Services, Growth and local market leaders so delivery contributes to retention, growth and client satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance across all JAPAC studios.
Transformation
- Own the regional transformation agenda that shapes how Tag delivers creative production now and in the future.
- Work with the Transformation & Implementation Director to launch new client partnerships, bring new work into operation and move accounts successfully into business-as-usual delivery.
- Ensure new client set-ups are commercially viable, operationally ready and positioned for long-term success.
- Lead the delivery organisation through new production approaches, AI-supported workflows, automation opportunities and evolving delivery methods.
- Make sure innovation moves beyond experimentation and becomes adopted, measurable and scalable practice.
- Partner with Product, Technology and Innovation teams to decide which tools and methods should be embedded into everyday workflows.
- Support delivery teams through change with training, upskilling and ongoing guidance.
- Embed the idea that transformation is part of routine delivery, not a separate project.
Industry leadership
- Serve as the regional executive representative for Tag’s production delivery capability with clients, partners, internal leaders and the wider market.
- Work with Product and Growth to shape Tag’s point of view on the future of production, including AI, automation, scaled content creation and new operating models.
- Support thought leadership, client events, case studies, playbooks and market-facing content that showcase delivery expertise.
- Spot opportunities for Tag to lead through production innovation, strategic partnerships and differentiated delivery models.
- Represent JAPAC delivery in regional and global discussions so the region contributes to and benefits from global best practice.
- Promote centres of excellence and specialist capabilities that create competitive advantage.
- Strengthen the external reputation of the delivery function through innovation, measurable client value and industry recognition.
Key performance measures
- People Cost Ratio: meet the agreed regional target.
- Operating margin: deliver the agreed margin across JAPAC Delivery.
- Client satisfaction: achieve the target CSAT/NPS across key accounts.
- Delivery performance: meet regional targets for timeliness, quality and utilisation.
- Transformation and growth: successfully implement strategic client partnerships and deliver the agreed regional transformation roadmap.
Required experience and capabilities
- Extensive leadership experience in a regional creative production, agency, content studio or marketing operations setting.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex delivery teams across multiple markets, local studios and regional hubs.
- Strong commercial judgement, including understanding of margins, utilisation, cost-to-serve and operational efficiency.
- Deep knowledge of creative production workflows, delivery governance, resourcing models and studio operations.
- Background in transformation, implementation or operational change in large client or production environments.
- Working knowledge of emerging production technologies, AI-supported workflows, automation and future delivery models.
- Ability to partner credibly with Product, Growth, Finance, HR, Operations and Client Services at senior level.
- Strong client-facing presence with the ability to explain delivery strategy, operating models and transformation programmes to senior stakeholders.
- Data-oriented approach with the ability to turn operational information into clear business decisions.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to shape culture, energize teams and lead effectively through ambiguity, change and growth.
