Job description
About the Company
Notion is a collaborative AI workspace designed to bring people, projects, meetings, knowledge, and AI tools into one connected environment. It helps individuals, teams, and large organisations work with more clarity, speed, and less fragmentation.
Employees, referred to internally as Notinos, are expected to model the product’s future-of-work vision. The culture values craftsmanship, durability, and the belief that meaningful work remains deeply human. The company aims to define how people collaborate in the AI era by helping customers manage their operating systems, create and oversee AI agents, and automate repetitive work.
About the Role
This role is for a customer-oriented, commercially minded leader who will own Customer Success across EMEA. Reporting to the Global Head of Customer Success, you will guide established teams that support customers in adopting Notion effectively and growing their use of the platform. You will also help advance Notion’s mission of building a connected workspace.
What You’ll Do
- Create and execute the EMEA Customer Success strategy so it stays closely aligned with company priorities, especially adoption, retention, and expansion.
- Lead and coach Customer Success Managers across both scaled and dedicated operating models in the EMEA region.
- Work closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Professional Services to deliver smooth onboarding, strong value delivery, and a better end-to-end customer experience.
- Build executive-level relationships with important customers, collect feedback, and bring customer insights back into the product and internal advocacy process.
- Define and maintain a strong KPI and OKR framework that supports clear, data-backed decision-making and proactive customer health monitoring.
- Own retention and expansion performance across a multi-million dollar book of business.
- Improve efficiency by using customer success platforms and related tools to simplify workflows and strengthen team productivity.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience leading Customer Success or go-to-market teams in a fast-growing SaaS company, with strong exposure to post-sale work.
- Background managing a range of customer segments, from Commercial through Enterprise, while partnering effectively with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Strong customer-first mindset and genuine interest in understanding customer organisations, business goals, and value drivers.
- Comfort using data to define performance metrics and guide team decisions.
- Ability to bring structure, operational discipline, and systems thinking across the customer lifecycle.
- Growth-oriented approach and the ability to learn from setbacks.
- Flexibility to succeed in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
- Focus on increasing adoption and usage to improve net dollar retention across EMEA.
- Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to use them to work more effectively, even without being an AI specialist.
Compensation
The estimated total on-target earnings for this position are €187,000 to €209,000 annually, including base salary and target incentive pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as location, scope of the role, and the candidate’s experience and expertise. The company also offers competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
Application & Privacy
By submitting an application, you acknowledge and agree that the company and its affiliates may collect and process your information in line with its Global Recruiting Privacy Policy.
AI Approach
The company expects employees to be curious, experimental, and open to using AI as a practical collaborator in their work. Deep AI expertise is not required for every position, but when AI fluency is essential, it is called out in the qualifications. Strong candidates use AI to think better and make their work easier to build upon.
Equal Opportunity and Accommodations
The company welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and encourages candidates to apply even if they do not match every requirement. It is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on any legally protected characteristic. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records may be considered where permitted by law. Reasonable accommodations are available during the hiring process, and applicants who need support due to a disability or veteran status should inform their recruiter.
