Job description
About the Company
The company offers an AI-powered collaborative workspace designed to help teams and agents work together in one place. It brings knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools into a single environment so work feels more organized, efficient, and less fragmented. The product is used by individuals, small teams, and larger organizations.
Employees are expected to be hands-on builders who value quality, durable work, and the idea that strong collaboration remains deeply human. The broader mission is to help customers spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on meaningful work, including building systems of record, managing AI agents, and automating routine work.
About the Role
This Sydney-based opportunity is for an Account Executive focused on the Commercial SMB segment. The role requires a full-cycle sales approach with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting, fast execution, and closing new business as well as expansion opportunities.
You will work with senior technical and business stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Product, and VPs of Engineering. Success in the role depends on developing strong product understanding, especially around technical use cases such as APIs, data, developer tools, infrastructure, and AI or agent-based workflows.
What You Will Do
- Build new pipeline proactively through an outbound-led approach and maintain strong momentum in target accounts.
- Manage the complete sales process from prospecting and discovery through solution alignment, demonstrations, negotiation, and close.
- Conduct effective discovery conversations to understand business objectives and technical needs, then turn those insights into a clear value story.
- Present tailored live demos and customer narratives, including light solution design when needed, such as workspace setup, access controls, rollout planning, and integrations.
- Work through commercial buying requirements such as security, legal, and procurement with help from internal teams.
- Keep forecasts accurate and execute with speed and consistency to meet or exceed quota.
- Collaborate with Solutions, Product, and Marketing teams and feed customer insights back into the business.
What You Need
- 1–3 years of closing experience in a full-cycle, quota-carrying role, or in a closely related position with clear exposure to closing, along with a history of meeting targets.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience selling to or partnering with technical decision-makers such as CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, or VPs of Product, with the ability to connect product capabilities to workflow value and return on investment.
- Strong outbound habits, creative pipeline generation, and end-to-end selling ability including discovery, demos, and closing.
- Ability to manage multi-threaded opportunities and influence stakeholders across complex organizations.
- Fast learner who can quickly absorb technical concepts and explain them clearly.
- Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work and discussing modern AI-enabled ways of working.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, help improve the commercial motion, create repeatable processes, and bring customer feedback into scaling efforts.
Preferred Experience
- Background in usage-based or consumption-based pricing models.
- Exposure to developer tools, APIs, data, infrastructure, or AI products.
- Previous experience as an early sales hire in a fast-growing startup.
