- Create narrative and campaign initiatives that advance both business goals and reputation outcomes, with measurable targets and accountability.
- Use deep market knowledge and trusted relationships to advise senior leaders and cross-functional partners on media, cultural, and policy dynamics across South Asia.
- Identify, secure, and coordinate high-value speaking, media, and stakeholder engagements, and prepare spokespeople with the right context and confidence.
- Maintain strong relationships with senior journalists, editors, commentators, and other influential stakeholders to support proactive storytelling and rapid issue response.
- Oversee PR agencies and partner teams, ensuring consistently high standards of quality, accuracy, and speed.
- Lead crisis readiness and response across the broader region, with timely and well-coordinated handling of sensitive or high-risk issues.
- Serve as a central leadership contact during escalations, offering clear guidance, sound judgement, and communications counsel to regional and local teams.
- Support in-market teams as they address regulatory, reputation, and media challenges.
- Build and standardize crisis response playbooks, escalation processes, and operating frameworks across markets.
- Work closely with Trust & Safety, Legal, Government Relations, Policy, and Product teams.
What the employer is looking for

- Strong understanding of the South Asian media environment, policy context, and cultural landscape.
- An established network of senior media, industry, and stakeholder contacts across South Asia.
- Proven experience leading crisis and issues management across several markets or regions.
- Hands-on experience building and implementing regional crisis communications systems, including playbooks, escalation pathways, and response guidance.
- Excellent writing, messaging, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution and sound judgement.
- Experience partnering with Trust & Safety, Legal, Government Relations, and Product teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
