About the Role
We invite applications for a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel specializing in RERA and Real Estate laws to join our team in Lucknow. This key role requires a professional adept in regulatory compliance, property transactions, and corporate legal affairs within the real estate sector. The position involves vigorous engagement with all legal facets of real estate development, ensuring that the company operates within the ambit of laws and regulations effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end RERA registrations, approvals, and ensure strict adherence to related statutory compliances.
- Prepare, scrutinize, and approve various legal documents including Builder Buyer Agreements, Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other vendor contracts.
- Conduct thorough land title examinations, oversee legal due diligence, and manage property-related documentation processes.
- Handle matters involving property sales, purchases, registrations, and land acquisitions.
- Devise and examine legal policies, clauses, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance documentation for the company.
- Attend to legal notices, manage litigation and arbitration cases and collaborate with external legal counsel as required.
- Serve as the liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities including RERA, Development Authorities, Registrar Offices, and other governmental bodies.
- Advise senior management on legal risks, regulatory compliance, and provide guidance on business strategies and decisions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Profound understanding of the RERA Act, Property and Land Laws, Contract Drafting, and Corporate Legal Compliance.
- Exceptional skills in legal drafting, negotiation, and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in the Real Estate or Construction industries is essential.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree is mandatory; a Master of Laws (LL.M.) is preferred.
- Extensive professional experience of 15 to 20 years in legal roles related to real estate or construction sectors.
Working Conditions and Additional Information
- Location: Lucknow, India
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
