Position Overview

The Head Bartender at the Punch Room, Singapore EDITION, serves as a knowledgeable and skilled professional providing exceptional bar service while ensuring operational excellence. The role involves managing stock and supplies meticulously, crafting drinks precisely to specified recipes, and maintaining compliance with company and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address guest inquiries about wine varieties including their origins, vintages, and styles.
  • Manage inventory by checking quality and quantity of stock, requisitioning necessary supplies, and performing bottle-for-bottle liquor restocking.
  • Communicate designated closing times to guests and supervise the last call protocol.
  • Prepare drinks accurately using proper measuring techniques and authentic recipes.
  • Open and serve wine and champagne bottles professionally.
  • Handle end-of-shift financial tasks such as counting the bank, completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, securing receipts and cash holdings.
  • Ensure all alcoholic beverages and supplies are stored securely and safely.
  • Anticipate replenishment requirements and communicate these needs promptly.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
  • Support management in recruitment, staff training, scheduling, performance assessments, employee counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, safety procedures, and report any incidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain uniform and professional appearance and safeguard company confidentiality and assets.
  • Welcome guests enthusiastically, anticipate their needs, and provide personalized service with genuine appreciation.
  • Use clear and professional communication at all times.
  • Develop positive working relationships to support team objectives and address colleague concerns effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout all service operations.
  • Handle physical demands including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, maneuvering in confined spaces, and performing tasks requiring fine motor coordination.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education level: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • No prior supervisory experience necessary.
  • No specific licenses or certifications required.
