Server-Room Service - Food and Beverage Attendant

About the Role

This position involves serving food courses and alcoholic drinks to guests in compliance with event standards and service expectations. You will be responsible for setting tables appropriately, responding to menu-related inquiries, coordinating with the kitchen regarding orders and specific dietary needs, and guaranteeing guest satisfaction. The role requires transaction processing using the MICROS system, maintaining cleanliness throughout work areas, and fulfilling closing duties such as restocking and shutting down equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage service to guests, ensuring standards are met.
• Prepare tables according to the requirements of different events.
• Handle guest queries related to menu selections professionally.
• Maintain communication with kitchen staff about menu questions, order wait times, re-cooking needs, and item availability.
• Relay special dietary needs, allergies, or requests to the kitchen promptly.
• Record guest orders and transactions using the MICROS system accurately.
• Check in with guests to confirm satisfaction after each food or beverage service.
• Keep the work areas, including tableware and glassware, clean throughout the shift.
• Perform closing duties such as restocking supplies and turning off lights before ending the shift.
• Present guests with the final bill and process payments professionally.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and safety guidelines, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and safeguard confidential company information and assets.
• Warmly welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate their service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine thanks upon service completion.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Develop strong working relationships with team members, assisting to meet shared objectives and addressing coworkers’ concerns appropriately.
• Ensure all quality standards and expectations are consistently upheld.
• Physically manage tasks requiring prolonged standing, moving objects, and navigating various surfaces and stairs.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of relevant work experience in food and beverage service.
• No supervisory experience required.
