About the Role
Sanctuary Cove Country Club, set against the scenic backdrop of the Palms Golf Course, offers premium gym and training amenities in an inspiring environment. These include four air-conditioned training rooms, a heated pool, spas, saunas, specialized treatment spaces, and child-minding services. The club is dedicated to supporting members in reaching their health, fitness, and wellness objectives through the guidance of a world-class team of trainers and rehabilitation experts.
The Gym & Fitness Supervisor plays a crucial role as the primary staff member on the gym floor at all times, ensuring smooth operations and safety throughout the gymnasium. This position requires working on a seven-day rotating roster that aligns with Country Club operating hours.
Key Duties
- Deliver outstanding customer service by welcoming gym members, addressing their queries, and resolving concerns.
- Diligently monitor the gym floor, tennis courts, and swimming pool areas to maintain a clean and safe environment, enforce policies, and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Provide guidance on correct usage of gym equipment to prevent injuries, ensuring members understand proper technique.
- Conduct initial fitness assessments for new members to evaluate their goals and recommend workout routines and equipment usage.
- Offer support to certified personal trainers during client sessions by preparing equipment, spotting, and aiding as needed.
- Assist group fitness instructors with class setup, equipment readiness, and help participants during sessions.
- Maintain proficiency in safety protocols and emergency responses including basic first aid and CPR to address accidents or medical emergencies.
- Promote membership options actively, engage potential members, provide information on promotions, and assist with membership registrations and inquiries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and helping clients meet their fitness objectives.
- Minimum Certificate III and IV qualifications with at least 12 months’ experience in the fitness sector, including leading group fitness classes.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer systems at a basic to intermediate level.
- Currently hold an up-to-date First Aid certification including CPR.
- Hold a valid Blue Card clearance.
