The property boasts 361 rooms, 11 unique dining venues including an overwater restaurant overlooking the Red Sea and mangroves, and a luxurious spa. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable cleanliness and quality by thoroughly inspecting all laundered items for stains, damage, and proper pressing before delivery to guests.
- Lead and manage daily operations of laundry, dry cleaning, and valet services, including scheduling staff and holding daily briefings to prioritize guest needs, especially VIP requests.
- Accurately follow guest instructions for laundry care, including preferences on starching, folding methods, and urgent requests.
- Maintain financial and administrative oversight by recording guest charges in the Opera Property Management System, monitoring chemical and supply inventories, and aiding in performance reporting.
- Conduct regular checks on laundry equipment such as filters and press covers to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards, ensuring staff handle equipment and chemicals appropriately.
- Train and mentor team members on Luxury Quality Assessment standards and advanced textile care and stain detection techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in luxury laundry operations with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity; prior experience with pre-opening processes is essential for this role.
- Proficient in Opera Property Management System and Microsoft Office applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of different textiles, laundry chemicals, and effective stain-removal methods.
- Preferred educational background includes post-secondary studies or a degree in Hospitality or Business Administration.
- Demonstrate exceptional grooming, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
- A strong understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand standards is critical.
- Experience in coordinating projects, managing scheduling, and document control especially during pre-opening phases.
- Must possess a proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
