Site Engineer

Job Summary

Al-Mutawa Son's Group seeks a dedicated Site Engineer for their Dammam, Saudi Arabia location. This full-time position requires a male Saudi national with 3-7 years of prior experience in supervising construction projects including buildings, infrastructure, bridges, or interior finishes. The engineer will closely monitor daily construction activities ensuring compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily on-site construction operations confirming alignment with project drawings and technical requirements.
• Conduct precise setting out and leveling using surveying equipment such as GPS and levels to validate lines and elevations.
• Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, method statements, bills of quantities, and raise technical queries or resolve design conflicts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to work plans and schedules.
• Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, identify delays or risks, and participate in corrective action planning to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Plan daily activities and assign tasks among workforce to achieve productivity goals.
• Perform routine quality inspections to verify conformity with standards and inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Implement and oversee safety plans on site ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies; promptly report incidents or violations.
• Ensure work is executed with proper safe systems including RAMS and permits prior to commencing activities.
• Oversee material deliveries, verify specification compliance and quantities, and manage onsite inventory in line with logistics plans.
• Liaise with procurement teams to guarantee timely availability of materials and equipment to avoid work stoppages.
• Prepare and update comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering work progress, material consumption, and any deviations from planned budget or schedule.
• Maintain accurate site records including as-built quantities and final handover documentation.
• Compile and submit project completion documents for approval by relevant authorities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fields such as Architectural or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Master's degree in a related discipline is desirable.
• Proven experience of 3-7 years supervising construction projects with main contracting firms.
• Specialized expertise in concrete works, cladding systems, interior finishings, or HVAC systems according to project needs.

Technical and Personal Skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), AutoCAD, and document management systems.
• Experience using surveying instruments such as Total Station, GPS, and levels.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality and safety control procedures.
• Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and subcontractors.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality and deadlines.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills; Arabic proficiency is an added advantage.

• Position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
• Work mode is full-time onsite; only male Saudi nationals are eligible.
