Role Summary

Raffles & Fairmont Doha is looking for a Government & Immigration Relations Admin to manage government, immigration, and labour-related administration with accuracy and compliance. This position acts as a bridge between the hotels and government bodies, ensuring that permits, visas, records, and legal documentation are handled efficiently and in line with local requirements.

The role also supports smooth internal operations by tracking documentation, maintaining compliance records, coordinating colleague-related processes, and keeping communication flowing between departments and external authorities. A detail-focused and proactive approach is essential to support a seamless colleague experience across both properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle government, immigration, labour, and municipality transactions promptly and accurately while staying fully aligned with local regulations.
  • Coordinate visa submissions, renewals, cancellations, residency permits, work permits, and related official paperwork for colleagues at both hotels.
  • Act as the main contact point with government departments and help maintain effective professional relationships for smoother processing.
  • Track employee documents, licences, permits, and official records so renewals are completed before expiry.
  • Keep all government-related files, correspondence, and transaction records accurate, confidential, and compliant with company and legal standards.
  • Assist with onboarding and exit formalities by arranging the required immigration and government procedures for incoming and departing colleagues.
  • Keep up to date with changes in labour laws, immigration rules, and government processes, and share relevant guidance with internal teams.
  • Prepare reports, monitor application progress, and maintain logs to support operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Work closely with People & Culture, Finance, and operational teams to ensure government administration runs smoothly.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in government relations, immigration services, HR administration, or a similar role, ideally in hospitality or within a large organisation.
  • Solid understanding of Qatar labour laws, visa regulations, immigration procedures, and government administration practices.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once while maintaining strong accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed organisational, administrative, and time-management skills, with the ability to deliver within deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the interpersonal ability to work effectively with authorities, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools; experience with HRIS systems or online government portals is an advantage.
  • Capacity to manage sensitive information carefully and professionally.
  • English fluency is mandatory; Arabic language ability is strongly preferred.
  • A proactive, service-led mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Capability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team culture.
