Role overview
This position focuses on managing tax form content and maintaining compliance with government agency requirements for the assigned materials. The role involves using internal systems to keep content accurate, current, and completed within strict deadlines while maintaining a very low error rate.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of acquiring, maintaining, and securing government agency approval for all assigned tax materials.
- Work with proprietary internal tools to update content accurately and on time.
- Track changes in government forms and translate those updates into the software.
- Create and maintain tax form content within the product.
- Revise forms so they align with provincial and federal specifications as well as internal standards.
- Review work carefully before submission and also participate in peer reviews.
- Build proficiency across multiple in-house tools used to complete different tax products.
- Suggest and help implement improvements to existing processes.
- Contribute to workload planning and prioritization.
Qualifications
- Experience with Agile or Scrum-based team environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with HTML, Python, GitHub, or a similar programming language is required.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and different database systems is needed.
- Strong familiarity with form design software such as Adobe Acrobat is expected.
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-moving professional setting is required.
- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
- Understanding of software best practices is important.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are needed.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively is required.
- Comfort with following a defined, multi-step process is necessary.

Compensation and benefits
