Job description
Job Summary
This position focuses on keeping golf-course landscapes attractive, healthy, and tidy. The attendant helps maintain the overall look and quality of the course by caring for turf, gardens, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and irrigation systems, while helping ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Care for landscaped areas, including gardens, flower beds, walkways, and nearby facilities.
- Cut, edge, and trim lawns, rough areas, and decorative turf sections.
- Plant, prune, water, feed, and mulch trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape elements.
- Clear weeds, leaves, litter, and other debris from outdoor landscaped spaces.
- Observe plant condition and escalate any signs of pests, disease, or irrigation faults.
- Use and look after landscape tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, blowers, and utility vehicles.
- Support the use, checks, and basic maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Help with seasonal planting and improvement projects across the landscape.
- Consistently follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Keep tools and equipment clean and safe for use.
- Assist with special events, tournaments, and overall course presentation when needed.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Landscape Supervisor or Golf Course Superintendent.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Typically 2 to 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, golf course upkeep, or luxury resort landscaping is expected.
