About the Role

BCG is inviting applications for experienced Junior Consultant and Consultant roles in its Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Perth, and Canberra offices for 2025 and 2026. Key Responsibilities

Joining BCG's consulting team entails collaborating with experts on projects influencing business, government, and society. You will face varied, rigorous consulting assignments often at client sites, with possibilities of international travel. Early-career hires will work across industries on diverse projects such as pharmaceutical mergers or sustainable agriculture. As experience grows, specialization in disciplines or industries emerges with guidance from mentors and structured learning.

Junior Consultant Specifics

  • Partner closely with team members and clients to apply business knowledge supporting in-depth analyses.
  • Progress to managing complete project workstreams independently after gaining project experience.
  • Candidates usually have at least three years of full-time work experience.

Consultant Specifics

  • Develop specialized knowledge and manage larger, complex project components.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify problems, devise strategies, and gain consensus on recommendations, transforming potential into performance.
  • Typically require over five years of full-time work experience with demonstrated career growth.

Candidate Profile and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s, MBA, or PhD with outstanding academic achievements.
  • Professional experience: A minimum of three years in consulting or industry roles, with proven success and performance.
  • Industry backgrounds favored include climate and sustainability, retail, banking, private equity, oil and gas, mining, public sector, engineering, law, healthcare, medicine, and telecommunications.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Capability to approach complex topics innovatively and package ideas clearly.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Personal traits: Adaptable, curious, creative, self-motivated, independent, team-oriented with positive ethics.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and work onsite or remotely with clients.
