General Help - Dishwasher Position (Full Time)

Position Overview

This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of kitchenware including dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils, ensuring all workspaces and equipment remain orderly and sanitary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchen items using designated procedures and equipment.
• Polish silverware employing tools such as burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths according to set guidelines.
• Ensure dishwashing and kitchen areas are well-maintained, equipment is functional, and safety standards are observed.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces regularly.
• Manage waste disposal by removing trash to assigned receptacles and cleaning garbage cans via steaming or hosing.
• Support movement of supplies, products, and equipment between storage and operational areas.
• Perform other duties assigned as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate or an equivalent provincial certification is mandatory.
• Ability and enthusiasm to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
• Previous experience in dishwashing is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Familiarity with industrial washing machines considered beneficial.
• Capability to operate efficiently under pressure is important.
• Physical fitness to perform the job responsibilities is essential.
