General Accountant

About the Role

Mangaza is seeking a diligent General Accountant to join their team in Ras Al Khaimah. This role is crucial for maintaining precise financial records, generating comprehensive financial reports, and ensuring adherence to established accounting principles and company policies. The General Accountant will be instrumental in supporting the daily accounting functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Systematically record and maintain all daily financial transactions within the accounting system.
• Generate and post necessary journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Oversee and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Monitor cash flow and provide support for treasury-related activities.
• Prepare Value Added Tax (VAT) returns and ensure full compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and accurately calculate depreciation.
• Provide assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tasks.
• Support internal and external audits by furnishing required documentation.
• Uphold compliance with all company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory mandates.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and aid in the implementation of robust financial controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years of professional accounting experience is expected, with a preference for experience in a similar capacity.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing ERP or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics is necessary.

• Experience within the construction or contracting industries is advantageous, if applicable.
