Job overview
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday payroll and accounts role based onsite in Mackay, Queensland, with an immediate start available. The pay range is $90,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation.

Key duties
- Run payroll accurately and within required deadlines.
- Keep employee records current across the full employment cycle.
- Manage leave entitlements, allowances, pay changes, and other payroll-related transactions.
- Respond to payroll questions and provide prompt guidance to employees and stakeholders.
- Apply employment terms, awards, and workplace agreements to ensure staff are paid correctly.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and support reporting tasks.
- Make sure payroll processes follow applicable laws and internal policies.
- Look for ways to improve payroll systems and make processes more efficient.
What you need
- Previous experience in payroll or payroll administration.
- Working knowledge of payroll laws, modern awards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, plus the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Capability to manage priorities and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with others.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to work autonomously.
