Job description

About the Role

Become part of a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart, contributing to the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services within your community while prioritizing customer satisfaction at all times.

Role Importance

You will be responsible for overseeing customer service operations including cash handling, cashier team management, and merchandising activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all cashier and merchandising personnel adhere fully to store policies and operational procedures.
  • Provide thorough training and continuous guidance to cashiers and merchandisers in their respective roles.
  • Implement all loss prevention protocols; oversee cash office daily inventory and cashier accountability through proper tracking mechanisms and PC Optimum program procedures.
  • Maintain professional appearance standards for store employees according to the uniform guidelines.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding product locations, rainchecks, and other assistance.
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints following established protocols including refunds and exchanges.
  • Encourage participation in the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Survey.
  • Ensure merchandising areas are clean, organized, and products are rotated correctly.
  • Set up and dismantle product displays as directed by Area or Floor Store Managers.
  • Maintain overall store cleanliness and uphold a positive store image.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and actively contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Undertake clerical and banking tasks as necessary.
  • Perform loss prevention duties in accordance with company policies to safeguard store assets.
  • Fill in as a cashier when required and execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making capabilities to efficiently organize store activities.
  • Ability to think independently and solve problems to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Proficient in using computers and related technology.
  • Well-organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Good knowledge of store products and supplies.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges between $18.00 and $22.20, varying based on the candidate's prior experience, expertise, and the job location.
