About the Role

As a Market Street Baker, you will be the welcoming face of the fresh bakery section in store, playing a key role in ensuring customers have access to high-quality, fresh bakery products.

Key Responsibilities

• Assure customers that fresh bakery items are readily available throughout the day.
• Keep bakery products attractively displayed and fresh to encourage sales during trading hours.
• Prepare various bakery goods, including breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited pastries, adhering to company standards, using specialized equipment such as provers, ovens, and mixers.
• Provide exceptional and friendly customer service, helping to remove barriers and create memorable experiences, while highlighting traditional baking skills and fresh product offerings.

• You are friendly and supportive, enjoy meeting new people, and consistently strive to exceed customer expectations.
• You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take initiative to resolve customer queries effectively.
• You possess the ability to operate a variety of baking equipment safely, maintaining high health and safety standards.
• You have proficient baking skills, including mixing and molding dough to produce bakery items.
• You are flexible and willing to work across different fresh counters to meet customer needs throughout Market Street.
