Position Overview
We are currently seeking a freelance trainer for Facility Management to join our online academy, Viona, offering flexible and remote opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training on technical infrastructure topics including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), electrical systems, sanitary installations, security and access control systems, fire safety, sensor technology/IoT, and predictive maintenance.
- Teach operational and commercial management subjects such as maintenance, inspection, cleaning management, reception/security services, budgeting, cost classification, CAPEX vs. OPEX analysis, KPIs, reporting, and service level agreements.
- Instruct on legal frameworks, processes, and digitalization related to facility management including operator responsibilities, inspection duties, labor and fire protection laws, contract and procurement law, FM process landscapes, CAFM systems, digital documentation, and sustainability/ESG principles.
- Prepare and deliver topic-specific lessons with engaging, practical virtual instruction to ensure effective learning.
- Collaborate with participants to reflect on their learning progress.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background in Facility Management, Building Technology, Supply Engineering, Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering focusing on Facility Management; alternatively, a technical qualification with further training in FM.
- Proficient knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and sanitary technologies; maintenance and repair strategies; fire and safety technology; CAFM systems and digital documentation; budgeting, life cycle cost analysis (CAPEX/OPEX), KPI-based reporting; legal principles including operator and inspection duties, occupational health and safety laws, and procurement law; energy efficiency and ESG-related practices.
- Pedagogical aptitude preferred, for example, qualification under AEVO.
- Experience teaching adult learners advantageous.
- Strong methodological and didactic capabilities, reliability, social skills, and excellent communication.
Working Conditions and Technical Requirements
- Courses run continuously Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
- Availability for approximately four 45-minute teaching sessions daily.
- Requirements include a PC running Windows 10 or later with at least 8 GB RAM, reliable internet connection (minimum DSL 16000), USB headset, and webcam.
