Role Overview
As a Foodservice Sales Manager at That's it., you will be instrumental in meeting robust sales targets and advancing the quality of nutrition for K12 children. Your role involves proactively identifying and acquiring new clients, nurturing strong connections with key school directors, and strategically expanding our presence in the K12 market.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and leveraging detailed market research to secure and grow accounts within K12 and healthcare sectors.
- Form and maintain partnerships with K12 decision-makers, distributors, distributor sales representatives, and other vital stakeholders to enhance market penetration and sustain long-term collaborations.
- Meet or exceed assigned quarterly and yearly sales objectives while providing regular updates to management on progress. The targets are demanding and require a rapid pace.
- Develop and upkeep comprehensive territory plans, pinpointing top potential accounts and crafting effective sales strategies.
- Frequently travel within your assigned territory to engage customers, present That’s it products, and boost sales.
- Design and implement impactful trade show and event strategies aimed at generating significant leads.
- Keep a close watch on critical market trends and share insightful analyses with the regional team and company leadership.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or proven equivalent experience managing sales operations.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in wholesale sales, specifically involving foodservice accounts and distributors; experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) is favorable.
- A proactive growth mindset with a strong focus on pursuing leads and aggressively driving sales.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with sales forecasting techniques, lead generation methods, and CRM software usage.
- Prepared to travel extensively, from 40% to 60%, within your designated sales territories.
