Job Overview
Mary Browns is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for their establishment in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The company has a pending Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application and intends to offer this position to qualified foreign candidates once approved. This role requires working onsite with no option for remote work.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective work scheduling methods.
- Order necessary kitchen and food supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee and coordinate activities of staff involved in preparing and portioning food.
- Train team members on job responsibilities, sanitation guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Ensure all food preparation and service meet established quality control standards.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally.
- Keep accurate records related to stock levels, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Compile and submit detailed operational reports.
- Prepare food order summaries to communicate with the chef effectively.
- Supervise the assembly of food trays and check for accuracy.
- Monitor the delivery process of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Duties
Responsible for supervising a team of 3 to 4 employees involved in food preparation and service.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical activities include a combination of sitting, standing for long periods, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
