Job Overview
Burnbrae Farms is in the process of obtaining a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and intends to offer a position to a qualified foreign worker once approved.
Language and Education Requirements
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Candidates should have completed a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting from 3 months to less than 1 year, or possess equivalent experience.
Experience
Applicants must have at least 1 year but less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Work Location
The role requires physical presence at the farm; remote work is not an option.
Key Responsibilities
- Clear and remove brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work spaces.
- Create priority plans for farm operations.
- Manage feed inventory activities efficiently.
- Handle animals and oversee their health monitoring.
- Treat animal health issues promptly.
- Organize tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist in developing and enforcing farm safety and bio-security protocols.
- Coordinate and supervise general farm workers and harvesting laborers.
- Maintain compliance with safety and bio-security standards.
- Develop and implement feeding programs.
- Keep detailed records of livestock performance, quality control, and production.
- Supervise cultivation and crop-related activities.
- Recruit, hire, and train staff members.
- Perform general duties supporting farm operations.
