Role Overview
This position involves various duties related to food service, cleanliness, and customer interaction within a fast-paced environment in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clean dishes, flatware, and related items to serving zones and arrange tables.
- Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and seating areas promptly.
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently.
- Store cleaned dishes properly after washing.
- Replenish condiments and necessary supplies at tables and food service stations.
- Handwash and sanitize dishes and utensils when needed.
- Maintain records documenting quantities of food utilized.
- Package meals for take-out service.
- Portion food appropriately and wrap items securely.
- Prepare, warm, and finalize simple food orders.
- Serve patrons at counters or buffet-style stations.
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh items.
- Take customer orders with accuracy and courtesy.
- Use manual and electric kitchen tools to clean, peel, slice, and trim food products.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, storage, equipment, and appliances.
- Handle receiving, unpacking, and storage of supplies in designated areas.
- Remove kitchen waste and trash regularly.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work takes place in a high-speed, dynamic setting.
