Job description
Overview
The role of Stockperson/Cartpusher is vital in ensuring a safe, tidy, and welcoming shopping environment for customers. This position involves collecting shopping carts from various locations including cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters, then returning them to their assigned storage following approved procedures. By engaging warmly with customers and maintaining a strong emphasis on safety, the role supports smooth retail operations and encourages the development of skills in customer service and teamwork.
Key Duties
- Retrieve shopping carts from designated collection points and return them safely to storage areas, completing all necessary logs accurately.
- Assist customers and respond to store requests, including help with carrying out or carrying in purchases and conducting receipt verification when needed.
- Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance tasks, including restroom upkeep and safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols related to emergency situations, hazardous materials, lockout/tagout processes, and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes and reflective vests, conduct safety inspections, and help maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Adapt to varied work schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays, maintaining flexibility to meet business needs.
Challenges
- Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a rapid work pace, particularly during overnight shifts, planning to sustain energy and focus.
- Handle physical demands such as standing for long periods, repetitive stocking and organization, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs with attention to detail.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.40.
Minimum Requirements
