Overview

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Chetwynd, British Columbia, Canada. The role is carried out on site and uses English as the workplace language. The standard schedule is 40 hours per week.

Education and experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required. Experience is not mandatory, and training will be provided.

What you’ll do

  • Move clean dishes, cutlery, and other serving items to service areas and arrange tables as needed.
  • Carry linens and replace them when required.
  • Clean and sanitize dishwashing mats, carts, and waste containers.
  • Clear tables, trays, and chairs, then clean them thoroughly.
  • Load bus tubs and trays for service or cleaning.
  • Run dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Store cleaned dishes in the proper storage areas.
  • Refill condiments and other supplies at tables and service stations.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and other items by hand when needed.
  • Scrub pots and pans.
  • Track the amount of food used.
  • Package take-out orders.
  • Portion and wrap food items.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple menu items.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet stations.
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Take customer orders.
  • Use manual and powered equipment to clean, peel, slice, and trim food products.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage rooms, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage spaces.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and waste.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
