Job description
Overview
We recognize that our pilots have achieved their expertise through dedicated training and continuous development, which we support strongly at Air New Zealand. We invite qualified ATR Flight Simulator Instructors to join our Auckland-based Flight Simulator Training team. This role is crucial in preparing the next wave of pilots by delivering advanced simulation instruction to maintain safety and confidence across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct flight simulator sessions and classroom teaching for ATR pilots, covering initial, recurrent, and upgrade training.
- Perform flight checks, assessments, and evaluations according to New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (NZCAA) Part 121 regulations.
- Participate in the refinement and development of training programs to ensure both compliance and ongoing enhancement.
- Manage and maintain accurate training documentation and pilot performance records.
- Collaborate closely with operational and training departments to uphold Air New Zealand's rigorous safety and performance criteria.
- Offer coaching and mentorship to pilots, promoting an environment of excellence and support within the learning culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be eligible to work and reside permanently in New Zealand (NZ Citizen, NZ Permanent Resident, or Australian Citizen).
- Hold a current NZCAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Prior experience as a flight instructor.
- Possess a minimum of 3000 hours total flight time.
- Eligibility to obtain an NZCAA D-Category Instructor Rating.
