Job description

Role overview

This position is suited to a finance professional who wants to move from planning and analysis into a business partnering role focused on data and analytics. The role is based in Dublin and combines virtual work with on-site presence. It sits within a global analytics community and is designed for someone who enjoys turning complex information into practical insights for senior leaders.

The organisation is committed to helping people make better decisions and to improving outcomes for employees and clients through trust, inclusion and collaboration.

What you will do

  • Act as the link between business leaders and technical analytics specialists, translating business needs into meaningful data-driven insights.
  • Support countries in adopting analytical insights and embedding the team’s analytics products into day-to-day use.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to gather large data sets, resolve data quality issues, reconcile reports, apply business rules, validate outputs and create clear analysis.
  • Lead and coordinate analytics initiatives and projects so they are delivered within agreed deadlines.
  • Work with local, regional and global teams to implement recommendations that support balanced and positive business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across diverse teams to help achieve shared goals.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, influence decisions and support change management activities.
  • Explain complex financial and analytical topics in a clear way to senior management to support better decision-making.
  • Contribute to the design, launch and testing of new analytics products and solutions.
  • Collect user requirements and turn them into well-defined business needs for development teams.

What makes this role different

This opportunity combines financial forecasting and analysis experience with a broader analytics business-partnering remit. The focus is not limited to reporting; instead, the role helps shape how leaders interpret performance, identify opportunities and make strategic choices.

Skills and experience needed

  • A degree or equivalent experience in business finance, budgeting or forecasting, along with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Interest in developing into a business analytics consultant position rather than a data scientist career path.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity by assessing unclear situations, structuring problems and creating practical recommendations.
  • Comfort making decisions with incomplete information and adapting as new information becomes available.
  • Willingness to learn proprietary models, including cost allocation and costing approaches.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas persuasively.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the discipline to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate and Power BI; SQL and VBA would be beneficial.

Benefits and work environment

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, an inclusive workforce and an agile environment that supports wellbeing and work-life balance. Colleagues also receive two Global Wellbeing Days each year. A range of flexible working-style solutions is available. The workplace promotes continuous learning, growth and inclusion, and all colleagues are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work.

Equal opportunity and accommodations

The employer provides equal employment opportunities regardless of race, colour, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, domestic partner status or any other legally protected characteristic. Reasonable adjustments are available for candidates with disabilities during the application and interview process and to support essential job duties after joining. Requests for accommodations can be directed to ReasonableAccommodations@Aon.com.
