Job description

About the role

Uber is growing its business and strategic alliance network across the US and Canada, and the Business Development function is hiring a Strategic Partner Manager to oversee and develop a portfolio of its most important Consumer Loyalty partnerships in the travel and hospitality space.

These Consumer Loyalty relationships are strategic collaborations with businesses such as airlines and hotels across the US and Canada. In this role, you will ensure existing partnerships are executed effectively, commercial commitments are fulfilled, strategic programs move forward, and long-term value is created for both Uber and its partners.

This is a highly cross-functional individual contributor position within a high-performing Global Partner Management team. You will own your partnership portfolio, lead internal teams, strengthen executive-level relationships, and help identify growth opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Oversee a portfolio of strategic Consumer Loyalty partnerships and make sure contractual commitments and business goals are delivered.
  • Lead the day-to-day governance, execution, and expansion strategy for assigned partners while identifying ways to increase value and business impact.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder groups to launch new initiatives, handle escalations, and deliver strategic programs.
  • Track partnership performance, prepare business reviews, and share insights and recommendations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain senior-level partner relationships, acting as the main contact and a trusted advisor on strategic work.
  • Work closely with Business Development teams on renewals, expansions, negotiations, and new partnership opportunities.
  • Create alignment across regional and global teams to support consistent delivery and a unified partner experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in partner management, business development, strategic partnerships, account management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in managing strategic partnerships and leading complex cross-functional initiatives across technology, mobility, payments, or loyalty.
  • Analytical approach with the ability to use data and insights to guide decisions.
  • Proven strength in solving complex problems, maintaining attention to detail, and delivering outcomes across teams.
  • Clear communication style, strong teamwork, initiative, and the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Curiosity and the ability to identify issues, get to the core of a problem, and present action plans.
  • Strong passion for the work and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
  • High standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.
  • Enthusiasm for Uber and its mission.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for New York City, NY-based roles is USD 169,000 to USD 188,000 per year. The same base salary range applies to San Francisco, CA-based roles.

For all US locations, employees may be eligible for Uber's bonus program and may also receive an equity award and other forms of compensation. Full-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan and a range of benefits.

Work location and office expectations

Offices remain an important part of collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless full remote work is approved, employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in the office. Some roles, including those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office attendance. Confirm the specific requirement with the recruiter for this role.

Equal opportunity

Uber is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants are considered without regard to sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, or any other legally protected characteristic. Qualified applicants are also considered regardless of criminal history, consistent with legal requirements. If you need an accommodation due to a disability or special need, you can request it through the company process.

Additional information

This is not a standard playbook-following role; it is for someone who wants to help shape the approach. If you are motivated by impact, energized by challenge, and excited to influence how the world moves, this opportunity may be a strong fit.

The posting is for a full-time role in a remote arrangement, although office attendance may still be required depending on approval and team needs.
