Financial Analyst - FP&A and Controllership (Remote Contract)

Position Details

This is a contract opportunity for a Finance Expert skilled in FP&A, Controllership, and Operating Finance. The role is fully remote with compensation ranging from $95 to $125 per hour.

Core Responsibilities

• Construct and evaluate budgets, forecasts, various scenario models, and perform variance analysis.
• Develop or critically assess board reports, define KPIs, conduct cohort analyses, and analyze unit economics.
• Examine revenue streams, sales pipelines, operational drivers, and cross-functional planning assumptions.
• Review and improve close processes, financial consolidations, revenue recognition, and internal control procedures.
• Detect errors in calculations, inconsistent or unclear definitions, flawed assumptions, and unsupported conclusions provided by management.
• Communicate analysis findings clearly through well-structured written reports.

Required Qualifications

• Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in FP&A or 6 to 12 years in controllership roles for practitioner-level positions; 10 to 18 years of experience for senior-level reviewer positions.
• Professional background in FP&A, strategic finance, revenue operations, business intelligence, controllership, accounting, or similar operating finance areas.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, management reporting, and collaborating effectively with business partners.
• CPA certification is highly preferred, especially for accounting and controllership focused roles.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the capability to link financial outcomes to operational factors.
• Experience overseeing team deliverables, managing financial close activities, or presenting findings to senior leadership is particularly valuable for senior positions.
