Role Overview
To enhance the Finance Team in Berlin, TIENS is seeking a diligent and detail-focused Financial Accountant to manage accounting tasks in compliance with German regulations and support regional and corporate financial coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and closing of German annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss) and year-end accounts.
- Supervise accounting and finance functions across regional branches covering monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Ensure precise recording of daily sales, collections, and financial transactions.
- Compile financial reports and analyses for management, adhering to all tax and corporate compliance requirements.
- Handle payments for suppliers, services, payroll, and commissions following company policies.
- Maintain accurate entries in ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle.
- Monitor inventory levels and fixed assets; assist during audits and financial assessments.
- Support continuous enhancements of finance processes and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Regional and Corporate Finance teams to guarantee transparency and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional accounting and finance experience, ideally within Germany.
- Practical experience managing German annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss) and year-end closings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax compliance.
- Experience liaising with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Capable in finance operations including planning, budgeting, and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Proficient with ERP platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
