Role Overview
The Head of Financial Reporting at Cenomi Centers is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance of all financial reporting processes. This role supports strategic business decisions by providing insightful and timely financial information aligned with both international and local accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, SOCPA, and other relevant accounting frameworks and company policies.
- Manage the consolidation of financial data, reconciliation of accounts, and reporting across various subsidiaries and business units.
- Review financial statements, project accounting details, forecasting, and cost analysis to maintain financial integrity.
- Collaborate with IT to supervise ERP accounting systems' effectiveness and integration.
- Coordinate external audit processes and provide comprehensive support to auditors throughout.
- Ensure proper handling of Zakat and VAT obligations, maintaining compliance with all statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
- Assess and validate the fair valuation of investment properties, ensuring assumptions are financially sound.
- Conduct additional special financial analyses and duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA, CIMA, CA, or ACCA is essential.
- A master's degree in accounting is considered advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience in financial and management accounting, including 2 to 3 years in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for listed companies, CMA regulations, and standards like SOCPA, IFRS, GAAP, and IAS.
- Prior experience in accounting roles within real estate or similar industries is preferred.
- Proven expertise in handling complex, group-wide accounting and reporting activities, ideally within publicly listed companies.
- Strong knowledge and practical use of international accounting standards and ERP software systems.
