Finance Manager (SMB Accounting) - Remote Contract Opportunity

Position Overview

This opportunity is for a short-term contract as a Finance Manager with a focus on small and medium business (SMB) accounting. The role involves remote work with a commitment of up to 40 hours weekly, including a required 4-hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST). Compensation is provided per approved task.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and assess datasets related to accounting and financial reasoning for AI model evaluation.
• Interpret and analyze financial statements and bookkeeping records to ensure accuracy.
• Assess AI-generated financial responses for precision, logical consistency, and effective reasoning.
• Create prompts, evaluation rubrics, and guidance materials for finance-centric tasks.
• Detect accounting discrepancies and contribute to enhancing dataset integrity.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related financial consulting roles.
• Background as a CFO advisor, controller, finance manager, or financial consultant is essential.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and familiarity with Omni Chat tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statement analysis.
• Experience supporting small and medium business clients and managing complex accounting issues.
• Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
