Role summary
Amazon MGM Studios is looking for a proactive Film Publicity Coordinator to support the Film PR teams in Culver City, California. This role helps keep global film publicity campaigns organized from early production stages through release.
The right person will bring strong administrative and coordination skills, communicate clearly with both internal teams and external partners, and stay calm while handling several urgent priorities at once. Success in this position requires someone who is highly organized yet flexible, able to anticipate needs, spot issues early, and manage sensitive information and high-profile talent interactions with professionalism.
What you'll do
- Maintain team and department documents such as agendas, contact sheets, reaction memos, event calendars, and budget trackers.
- Set up and manage calls with internal stakeholders, agencies, and talent representatives/publicists.
- Partner with the travel team to arrange travel for filmmakers and talent.
- Prepare, update, and share travel itineraries across campaigns, making live adjustments when plans change.
- Open and track budget and purchase order requests for campaign expenses, including talent travel, glam and styling, external screening bookings, agency fees, and other vendor costs.
- Monitor invoice submission so vendors are paid on time.
- Organize internal and external screenings, including delivery of DCPs or film assets and sharing links when needed.
- Gather and distribute daily press coverage to campaign stakeholders.
- Coordinate title-specific calls and meetings with both internal and external partners.
- Create and update agendas for team meetings and capture detailed notes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Stay flexible for extended working hours during premieres, press days, festivals, and other major campaign moments.
- Support occasional talent and below-the-line handling as needed.
Team overview
The Movies PR team at Amazon MGM Studios is a collaborative group made up of four Title/Campaign teams, plus Regional/Audience Strategies, Events, and International teams. The Title/Campaign teams split the yearly film slate and act as the main link between talent representatives and cross-functional partners. They manage high-profile talent and press relationships, coordinate travel and logistics, arrange major media opportunities, and develop communications strategies that support business goals and drive Prime membership growth.
Working arrangement
This role is based onsite in Culver City and requires five days per week in the office at Culver Studios.
Experience and qualifications
- 1+ years of recent professional experience in communications or public relations.
- Ideally, prior PR experience gained through internships or a full-time position.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred profile
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay adaptable in a fast-moving publicity environment.
- Ability to manage complex logistics while remaining responsive and composed.
