Role overview
This is a remote part-time film and video editing position focused on improving AI systems that learn editing craft. The work centers on storytelling, shot choice, pacing, visual structure, and clean audio-visual synchronization. The commitment is 10 to 40 hours each week.
Key responsibilities
- Help train AI models on film and video editing concepts, with an emphasis on narrative flow, shot selection, and visual storytelling.
- Work alongside technical teams by supplying annotated examples, practical feedback, and guidance on editing-related tasks.
- Sort, organize, and manage video assets while coordinating with producers or directors to make the production workflow more efficient.
- Combine or align soundtracks with visual footage so the final output feels smooth and coherent.
- Review AI-produced edits and provide detailed written and spoken feedback to improve model performance.
- Promote strong editing standards around pacing, synchronization, and overall visual clarity within the AI editing process.
Required background
- Proven experience editing film, video, or other digital motion content.
- Strong command of professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with careful attention to detail and clarity.
- Prior experience working with producers or directors to bring a creative vision to life in post-production.
- Good understanding of timing, pacing, synchronization, and visual storytelling principles.
