FAST Service Specialist

About the Role

Opensity Solutions is hiring a FAST Service Specialist to deliver a mix of client-facing administrative and workplace support services across local accounts in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama area. The role supports day-to-day office operations and helps maintain a professional, organized, and responsive environment for clients.

This position covers several service lines, including copy/print, mail handling, hospitality, facilities support, courier-style support, and receptionist duties. It also requires flexibility to assist different accounts in the local market as business needs change.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle mail operations by metering, sorting, and delivering mail and accountable packages according to schedule.
• Complete copy, print, and scan work accurately based on written directions.
• Manage front-desk duties such as answering phone calls, directing them correctly, and welcoming visitors in a courteous, professional way.
• Support hospitality operations by maintaining conference rooms, shared spaces, and kitchens; ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for use; and managing kitchen supplies and inventory.
• Keep copy rooms and general supply areas organized, replenish stock, deliver paper, and carry out basic daily upkeep.
• Assist with facilities-related tasks such as hanging pictures, helping with small office moves, cleaning support, and communicating building or equipment issues to key client contacts.
• Remain flexible to cover absences and vacation schedules, including possible changes in shift timing and work location.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role is required.
• Strong multitasking ability with a close eye for detail is needed.
• The candidate should be able to address issues calmly, professionally, and tactfully.
• Physical capability to lift or move up to 40 lbs. or more is required.
• Ability to move packages on a wheeled cart with a 75 lbs. load capacity is required.
• The job involves extended periods of walking, bending, kneeling, standing, and sitting.
• A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are mandatory.
• Availability is required for all shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, including 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, and 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Compensation and Additional Information

The role pays up to 20.00 USD per hour and may also qualify for an annual bonus. Final pay will depend on the candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
